Empowering parents through education & coaching

We help tired mums find peaceful sleep for the whole family

All hilarious memes aside, sleep deprivation is no joke. Not only does it have a negative effect on health and relationships for you as a parent, but it’s not good for your baby either! Sleep is not a luxury, it’s a necessity that’s just as important as eating nutritious food or getting enough exercise. At Sweet Babydreams we believe that every family deserves good sleep, so they can thrive. We’re here to make that possible for you and your family, too!

“Will I ever sleep again?”

That’s what I kept asking myself after a year of postpartum depression, 45-minute naps and frequent night wake-ups. I’d tried everything Google told me, but nothing helped my baby sleep better.

Finally, I “caved” and, very skeptically, started working with a sleep coach. “What could they tell me that I haven’t already tried?” I thought…

Much to my surprise, my daughter slept 12 hours through the night within 3 days and minimal fuss!

It felt heavenly! Not only did we both sleep through the night, but my little girl was happier throughout the day, and I could enjoy quality time with my husband again. I wondered why I hadn’t reached out for help sooner!

Mama, that transformation is possible for your family, too!

With the right support, children from newborn to kindergartener are fully capable of learning healthy sleep habits, and getting the daily rest they (and their parents) need.

We believe in:

a holistic approach

We look at sleep holistically through our Sweet Sleep System, bringing together all aspects of sleep to create individualised sleep plans that keep your child’s tears to a minimum, and strengthen the bond between you.

a family-centered process

Families are at the heart of what we do. Well-rested families are proven to have better relationships, stronger bonds, and less stress than families where sleep is a constant struggle. We focus on sleep solutions that meet the needs of each and every family member.

Keeping tears to a minimum

No mama wants to see their baby upset! While some tears are normal during the sleep coaching process, we’ll help you recognise your baby’s communication and support your little one through overwhelming emotions in a loving, responsive, and respectful way.

an individualised plan

There are no one-size-fits-all sleep solutions – what works for one child may not be right for another! We take your child’s development, sleep requirements, and personality into consideration when creating a personalised sleep plan for them.

support & encouragement

We’re committed to journeying alongside you towards healthy sleep for your family. If you’re feeling discouraged, confused, or hopeless right now, we encourage you – with the right tools and support, you are capable of making the changes necessary!

Science & practice

Our approach is based on science, formal training and years of experience working with families. We strive to stay up-to-date with the latest research, regularly furthering our education, and networking with other healthcare professionals to provide you with the best possible service.

The Sweet Sleep System

We look at sleep holistically, bringing all the pieces of the sleep puzzle together, and giving you confidence in making changes while minimizing your little one’s tears!

Biology

(WHY)
Most sleep issues develop when a child’s sleep situation isn’t congruent with their age and/or biological maturity. Knowing the biology of sleep enables us to understand their sleep issues, set realistic expectations, optimise the sleep environment, and create a day rhythm that supports peaceful sleep for your little one.

Development

(WHAT)
We evaluate your child’s
development so we can be sensitive and respectful of their emotional maturity, and understand how their current milestones affect sleep. It helps us assess your child’s nutritional and sleep needs, and to create a safe and sleep-conducive sleep environment

attachment

(WHO)
Understanding your and your little one’s
attachment style enables us to offer a sleep solution that fits your parenting philosophy, and give you personalised support during the sleep coaching process.

Environment

(WHERE)
We help you optimise your child’s sleep environment to suit their biology and development. This makes falling and staying asleep easier, which in turn supports an age-appropriate day rhythm and a good night’s sleep.

Rhythm

(WHEN)
An age-appropriate day rhythm, guided by your little one’s biology, ensures your child’s sleep and nutritional needs are met. A predictable day rhythm promotes better night sleep, easier and longer nap, supports your baby’s development and growth, and results in a happier baby overall.

Associations

(HOW)
You’ll get specific and individualised tools based on your child’s
attachment style to respectfully, yet consistently, change any unhelpful sleep habits. How and when we make these changes is informed by your child’s biology and development and supported by an optimal sleep environment and day rhythm
